I had all Pioneer DVR drives since A03, and now, for the first time I have problem.
After replacing A08 with A09, things went wrong. On my A08 using Verbatim DVD-R 8x
media (MCC 02RG20) and Nero 6.3.25, I could record at 12x, and everything was fine (more than 70 DVDs).

And now on 109 using 8x (does not allow 12x like 108) I have this:

I have patched drive with latest Pioneer BIOS (1.09), and installed new Nero 6.6.06.
Still the same!!

As you can see problems started approx. at the moment when drive changes speed
from 6x to 8x (I mean during recording)

I also have a problem with the DVR-109, but mine is different than jmartina's. I am using Nero 6.6.0.0 with stock shipped 109 firmware - Nero says that it is burning my 4X media at 4X, but the elapsed time tells me that it is actually burning at 2X, and then when I verify the write, the very last tracks written will not read. I assume that Nero is not communicating correctly with the 109, thus resulting in incorrect write speeds and an inability to write to the very end of the discs. Any ideas?
