replacing FBI warnings with own video.

Hi, i have recently accquired a DVD Burner and have started experimenting with burning dvd5 from dvd9. I have been ripping with DVDDecrypter and using VOBblanker to blank out the warnings and removing unwanted buttons with menuedit and then encoding using DVD-Rebuilder with Procoder2.
So far this has been working good except i would like to personalise my dvd's by replacing what was the FBI warning and now a 0sec blank video with a still image for about 5seconds.
I have been able to put a still image in for the almost 0sec clip using DVDshrink but this isn't long enough to properly see. I need first to insert a 5sec blank clip which i can then easily replace with a still image.
I have tried using BlankVOB to create a 5second clip and then swap it with the blanked 0sec clip using menuedit but for some reason it always seems to stay 0seconds, i think this may be due to blankVOB not working properly as when i look at the clip i create in PowerDVD6 it only lasts for a split second.
If anyone could help me i'd be very greatful.
I have considered putting a still image for the FBI warnings but i have already ripped it out of multiple DVDs and it tends to go too long.
If someone could guide me to create and insert a 5sec blank clip i'd be a happy man.

If you have a still to replace the FBI and have inserted it with DVD Shrink or just remuxed m2v, simply edit the cell still time in PgcEdit.

Open the DVD in PgcEdit, find the relevant PGC and double click on it. Change the still time to 5.

wow thx so much blutach i have been waiting 5days to post that message and you solved my problem in 5minutes, excellent!

My method of placing the still using DVDshrink works but it means i have to backup the whole movie, not just the one VOB. Is there a way of adding the still using PGCedit or any other similar easy to use program?

You can use this guide (http://www.videohelp.com/guides.php?link=713), which was meant for changing motion videos to stills in menus, but it is still applicable to what you want to do. Adapt it to your situation by:

1. Make your still
2. Demux the m2v
3. Remux the m2v into the cell which contained the still
4. Mock strip to adjust pointers
5. Use PgcEdit to change still time

You may also want to try out the 'Import startup (First-Play) Clip' macro in PgcEdit. It will not replace the FBI warning, but will create a new title that will be played first, when you insert your DVD.
It's easy to use, and requires only an already authored VTS with only one title (still frame or animated movie).

thx for your input guys,i think i might just stick with using DVDshrink and PGCedit as it seems the easiest way considering my little knowledge on DVD structures.

In which case, you may need to kill playback on the FBI and just insert the intro clip (assuming you don't want the insidious warning, that is)

just to add one more thing.
you might want to use Muxman (http://www.mpucoder.com/Muxman/) to create your intro clip. it can author stills will audio.
