How do I include the PC-friendly extras from the original DVD on the Back-up?

Just count up the number of 2K sectors that are needed and subtract them from the TargetSectors= parameter in the .ini file. Then copy the files into the output directory before you burn.

Sounds good. Thanks for the help.
Now for a silly question: Every time I have ever burned a DVD, I created an image (ISO) file first and mounted it on an image-drive to test it first.
If I have Nero, DVD Decrypter, and various other assorted burners, what would be the best (most compatible) method to burn a dvd-folder onto a disk so it will read properly on dvd players?

If you burn from an iso, it should not matter much if you use Nero or Decrypter, the result should be the same.

I have heard people complain about how if you burn with nero using the DVD Video wizard option and then draggin the files into the video ts folder in nero window, that it will mess everything up and not work. And i have heard that even burning an iso with nero isnt sooo good, so they burn with dvd decrypter. Personally i have tried all the ways and havent found any single way that is bad. I can burn the vts files with nero in dvd video mode. I can burn an iso with nero, i can burn an iso with dvd decrypter. They all play just fine on my dvd player. I think the big decider is your dvd player. Some like one way some dont. So I would say whatever way you are doing right now, if it works, stick with it. I personally make an iso image with imgtool classic and burn that image with nero. I have never had a problem. But you can feel free to use decrypter. Essentially what Im saying it whatever seems to work best for your setup.... go with that.

if you want the (in my opinion) most reliable method
burn from an iso with decrypter. However generating an iso with pc extras is not always that easy so..
i would add the extras and then burn with nero but in udf/iso mode. there is an excellent guide for this at www.dvdshrink.info
this way nero burns but does absolutely no file checking (make sure your own stuff is right) and makes no changes.
done over 100 burns like this with 0 errors.
