So, what you want is to put illegally obtained material on one DVD ? Too lazy to change discs or what  :D
Look here (http://forum.doom9.org/forum-rules.htm).

Well, it's the words "downloaded SVCD", especially in combination with "usually comes on 3 discs".
That just reeks of illegal material.
Sure, it doesn't have to be it, but that's just the first thing that comes into my mind when I read it.
and if i wish to get help to put those on DVD from a svcd format i would get no help?
Well, I certainly wouldn't mention they're downloaded, and then it's just fine. What is the purpose of that, anyway, to say they're downloaded, when it's obvious that everyone's first thougt is gonna be "that's pirated material, we won't help" (this is not the only forum I visit, and in the others it's the same, so actually you can expect these answers when you mention it's downloaded material)
maybe you r the ones who should read the rules....
Which part of it do you mean ?

i think the point i was trying to get across is that, just because it's download, in 3 parts, doesn't mean it's illegal AT ALL! i don't how you know illegal stuff come in 3 parts / svcd format, maybe you downlaod it yourself? because i certainly don't.
anyway this is getting way off topic, i will no longer reply here.

I know. But it still reeks of it, and many times I've seen questions like this it really was illegal.

Just to clarify this: I have *never ever* downloaded that stuff. If you wanna know, well, here it is, pure and simple.
A friend of mine (yeah, right, I'm not a lonely person as you might have thought :p ) used to download alot of this stuff. That is the way I know how big they are, and how crappy they look like.

OK. Leave legal questions aside.
What are SVCD specifications? Max number of tracks is certainly enough. Max length per track also. So, problem is just that burn programs doesn't support it. Maybe should try: insert DVD and give to Nero that burn SVCD...
I will try it one day, when I 'download' 6 SVCD from somewhere. Considering my Internet connection speed, it will be somewhere in year 2025 :D

Well, SVCD is obsolete, DVD is 'in', but interesting is that nobody noticed that it will be not possible what I wrote in previous reply.
There is no possibility to make SVCD compatible DVD. Simple reason is that there is no Mode 2 (2324) sector size at DVD's.
Answer to original idea would be: burn your mpg files to DVD in data mode and pray that it will work at your standalone. If plays not, convert them to DVD standard mpg files and author 'multi-movie' DVD.

i'd try using that guide about a month for svcd, when i tried to play it, all i saw was a zoomed in portion thru out the whole video (i guess something went wrong), hope is not the same with vcd
