DVD Shrink Freezing

Hello,

Last week I downloaded DVD shrink and backed up 2 dvds to my harddisk (I did not have a burner yet). One was "24 Season 1 Disk 1" and the other forgotten. I had to use DVD decrypter for forgotten. In both cases, I suceeded. I got my burner yesterday. Loaded the software (Nero) and burnt these to disk. Then deleted the files. I tried to do the same with 24 disk 2. The system kept freezing. Sometimes in deep analysis and sometimes in encoding. Non of the freezes were in the same spot. I them used decrypter to take it to my hard drive and tried dvd shrink again - same problem, 3rd time it worked. I then used Nero to burn it to disk. Same this is not happening with Disk3.

I made sure I have the latest Nero version.
I removed dvd shrink and then reloaded it.
Same thing happens.

My burner is an LG external burner gsa-5160d

Any ideas?

Is your DMA on? See here (http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=44808). In general, it is better to rip to the hard drive with DVD Decrypter and then do your analysis and transcoding from there.


There's also a million reasons why Nero would fail - see this (http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=45942) for some explanations.

Better to burn with DVD Decrypter (via PgcEdit - see here (http://www.videohelp.com/guides.php?link=735) for why and how).
