To encode to DTS, you need software from a company called Surcode. There are, to my knowledge, no freeware DTS encoders.

If you have one of the Surcode packages, the process is quite simple. You need to have one mono wave file for each channel. You load these into the Surcode software and click the Encode button. To create the wave files, if you want 5.1 from stereo, use one of the guides here and then use Besweet to split the 6-channel wave file to six individual files.

For details, you should start by reading the various guides here and experimenting. Although these are not extremely difficult procedures, to do them successfully takes practice. I know you wish you could just click a button and have it done, but in the long run, you'll understand the process much better by experimenting. If you have specific questions, read the help files that come with the programs, check the forum here for the guides, use the search engine, and if you still can't find an answer, someone here is always glad to help.

but nero doesnt support

what version of surcode DTS do you have? DVD or CD?

The DVD version supports both -> DVD 48KHz (extention: DTS) and CD 44.1 KHz (extension: WAV)
-> if you have a (DTS)WAV(44.1KHz) simply burn this file(s) as audioCD.
-> if you have a DTS (48KHz) use a DVDAuthoring program (i.e. DVDLabPro) and create a dummy MV2 video stream.

I guess the rest can be found by using the search function... ;)

Then try recreating the DTSWAV file. Make sure your sampling rate is 44.1kHz throughout the process with no resampling to 48kHz anywhere along the way.

Sorry, that's the only one I'm aware of.

Retrace your steps. Several people on this forum have successfully created DTSWAV files and written them to a regular CD with Nero.

1. Create 6 individual wave files at a sampling rate of 44.1kHz, bit resolution can be 16, 24, or 32 bits (Surcode will output 16- or 24-bit).
2. Use Surcode to encode DTS wave file.
3. Create Audio CD project in Nero and drag and drop DTSwav file (with extension .wav).
4. Burn CD.

If this fails, try another CD burning program, perhaps your Nero is somehow at fault.

Keep trying, you'll succeed!
