hi everyone..

i am playing with mencoder to make a handy dvd to divx encoder with ac3. unfortunately mencoder mixes up the channels.
in fact the center channels goes to right surround, and the right surround to somewhere else, however only the front left seems to be okay.

i am using mencoder with -channels 6. if a do not add this option, everything gets mixed down to stereo.

does anyone have experience with that ?

best regards
gülinator

what i do is about that:

800:acodec=ac3:abitrate=256 -o "ac3.avi" -vf scale=640:400,crop=640:290:0:55 -channels 6
