trying to back up sex and the city (yeah yeah i know) season 5 disc 2 and season 6 part 1 disc 2. i have a similar problem with both discs.
whenenever i use cce 2.50 or 2.66 both projects just freeze in mid encode with a progress indicator and everything (no overflows or other cce errors) it's always on the actual .mpv not the 1st pass .vaf build. i tried 2.70 demo and it does go through the encode but when i go to rebuild i get an error #0004 with s6 dvd and with s5 dvd the rebuild goes through but the resulting .vobs are missing the last episode and the total dvd size is 3.8GB.
i thought it might be my dgdecode so i tried the most recent beta, no dice. also i'm using multipass encoding with which ive been very successful in the past. there is absolutely no preprocessing done to the image, rippped with the latest dvd decrypter and mounted with daemon tools 3.47. the only thing i have different from all defaults in decrypter is to remove PUO's from VOBs.
Anyway, please let me know what you guys think.
***** EDIT (02/07/05) I've tried ripping in file mode and that did not help either. The dvd is clean and has no visible scratches or anything. ATM I've ran it thru VobBlanker (full processing but nothing stripped) and I'll see if that'll do it.
