Hi,
I Am Using the latest version of nero recode 2 and with the output avc video file, the accompanying audio has too low volume level, is there any way to increase that volume, please guys help me, even if this has been asked earlier, please do reply to this post,! Is it possible to encode aac audio externally and then mux it in, what tool to use?some tools say don't use it with packed b-frames, what does that mean? also, is it possible that if i chose no audio in recode and then mux ac3 file in it later on? please help me!
Thanks!

You can do the video without sound and then mux it (edit your sound in nero's waveditor and save it to aac+) with mp4 (worked for me:D )

This is way too many questions to ask at once. Plus most of the answers are in the forums. Do some searching, take it one step at a time, and come back when you have a more specific question that hasn't been answered already.

Sorry, i just wanted to know how to mux aac in mp4! actually i have mp4 video file avc/h.264 encoded with nero recode 2, and now i want to mux the aac audio in it, i just wanted to know how to do it, because other tools like mp4creator and mp4box talk of avi video, but i don't have avi video, so i needed help!

Open it with mp4ui and add the sound (and delete the one made in recode) but i dont know if the resulting file will be compliant.
ps. delete this thread.

sorry for activating this thread again but i am having the same problem. just testing out recode2 for the first time and the resulting audio-tracks have a much lower volume when compared to the original ac3 files.
i tried to open the nero digital mp4-file within mp4ui, but i am getting an error message: couldn't open file, invalid atom size.
so what's up with this low-volume? is this a common problem with recode? a bug? or is it only when playing back on computer. maybe it is loud enough when played on a hardware player, but i haven't one that could play back mp4 files yet.

If your original source is 5.1 channel ac3 it will most likley need some gain applied. You can use "BeSweet" to apply gain and transcode ac3 to AAC then use "YAMB" to mux the file into recode.mp4
Alternativley mux the original audio with recode.mp4 into "Matroska" container.

if u still love mp4 container, use belight to transcode ac3 to vorbis, it will have good volume as it has hybrid gain. also, in recode, even if we have 2-ch ac3 , even it has low audio!
