..just caught doom9's news note about the tool that finds copyrighted material on pcs and so i checked it out:
ROFL!
it found 3 audio files! no movies and no further mp3s, nothing..
i DO have some of course. these funny programmers designed the app to scan only _local_ drives and all my data is on a server.
so kids out there: go and store your personal data on mapped network drives, the tool does not know of these!
also very funny about this tool is, that it simply looks for audio/video files, regardless if it is the latest birthdayparty video or a temporary wav file of any app or whatever else.
the message once again is: if you have music files or movies, they are probably illegal!
some kids out there might actually get in trouble now with their parents because papa will find backup copies or payed music downloads. unbelievable!
