I'm a bit of newbie to DVD burning/re-authoring, and firstly would like to say that I have found this forum to be most helpful! :)
This post isn't really a problem as such, but something that some may find interesting (and perhaps challenging for the re-authoring buffs).
I've followed several of 2COOL's guides to split a DVD-9 to two DVD-5 with the film on one disc and the extra features on the second. I've made Disc 2 open the Special Features menu on load up and have disabled some buttons (ie.anything that leads back to the Main Menu, Play Movie, etc....) using MenuEdit(unregistered, using the Hide and "Keep Old" option). Everything looks fine and works just as I want it, so decided to burn.
Now here's where it gets interesting, on all DVD players the discs menus work fine (with only the buttons I wanted to be selectable), I have several PCs and stand alone players and everything works fine. BUT then I tried it on my slim Playstation 2, and guess what? All of the buttons that I had hidden/disabled are now enabled! The menu now looks as if nothing had been edited and acts just like the original. Strange huh?
I am using a PAL console with DVD driver 3.10A.
