I cannot play burned dvds on my computer. My computer failes to recognize the burned dvd in the drives. I can play the burned dvds on my ps2, set top dvd player, and friend's computer. I hooked up my dvd burner to my friend's computer and it picked up and played fine on his computer. What could cause my computer to not pick up the burned dvds? I can play original dvds fine on my computer.

I'm burnind DVDs using DVD Shrink using my Sony DRU-710A on Memorex DVD-R media burning at 8x.

I have the same Sony burner you have and have not had any trouble. let me ask you a couple silly questions first. Did you set the other cd rom to master and the Sony to slave? With my Sony i seem to have lost my auto run for some unknown reason, but if i place a dvd in and double click the drive it will run and play just fine. Have you tryed to right click the drive and hit play/explore options while disc in in place? Im not sure if any of this helps but with mine they all play just fine.
