.img what do you use to burn it?

what exactly is a .img file and what do you guys use to burn to a dvd that plays in dvd players with? Nero? Also what do you guys use to play them? I have nero show time.

Use Daemon-Tools (http://www.daemon-tools.org/) to mount it as a virtual drive. Burn a CD(DVD)toCD(DVD)-Copy. You can watch it also so.
