Some time ago (last summer) i found some bugs in STMedianFilter by Tom Barry.
I informed him, but he still can not update his webpage.
So, i release this bug fixed version on my homepage.

CHANGE LOG:

2004/08/19 v.0.1.0.3

by Fizick, released 2005/01/30
Fixed bug with spatial filter radius for YV12

2004/08/10 V 0.1.0.2

by Fizick - not public
Fix one main bug (for both YUY2 and YV12 modes):
in all previous versions light pixels were not filtered,
both S_EdgeThreshHold and T_MotionThreshHold did not work also.

May be somebody uses this filter?

Well, sometimes I did/do use it. It depends.

Sometimes I do use this filter but many new (like yours) filters did come up and maybe thats why that (for someones outdated) filter wasnt used that much anymore.

But thanks a lot for your work getting into it and fixing it, Ill try it again!
I really do apreciate if people do take time building or fixing avisynth filter .dll's :)

But STMedianfilter is listed in Avisynth docs and faq.

Please keep it up to date please if possible.
Most Xvid i have made were simply pre-processed by Undot and STMedianFilter - althought i have used much lower values than the default, mine was about (4,7,2,4).

Fizick -

Good work. Sorry for not responding for so long but I put off doing the fix(s) when you reported them and then lost the hard drive along with about a years worth of back email.

But in any event I've gotten busy at work and really haven't updated any of my filters or my web page for about a year now. So I'm glad you did it.

But, IIRC, I thought you (or somebody?) reported 2 different STMedianFilter bugs. Did you get them both? I'm afraid I left it for too long to remember.

trbarry,

Thanks for all your works!

It is very bad to lost all data from hard disk.

Can you add to your website else fixed version or link to my site, or link to this thread?

Yes it was me, who reported to you. :)

AsTimeGoesBy,

can you report your impression about fixed version?

@ Fizick & trbarry

Thank you both for your hard work. I will try STMedianFilter fixed as soon as I have a chance. It is winter and I am a ski addict :D. Right now it is consuming all my spare time.

PS Tom, sorry to hear of your drive loss. I had similar experience and when I hear some else had this problem, I always suggest "Drive Image, Drive Image and more Drive Image". (now owned by Symantec)

I didn't lose any source or development work. It was just my HTPC but that's where I do all my web browsing and email, on a HD RPTV from my armchair.

And my Norton Ghost of it worked just fine, even going to a larger new drive. The problem was that it was about 10 months old. :(

Sure, but where is your site? Did I miss a link somewhere above?
