Writing a paper

I have to write a paper on any physics topic for my high school senior physics class. It can be on any topic that is loosly or just somehow related to physics. I am wondering if writing about video compression would qualify in any way as physics, or somehow relating to physics. If it does, and you know of any websites with good information regarding how video compresson works, and the technical aspects of all this, it would make my life much easier. Thanks.

Well... calculus relates to physics, and the fourier transform is calculus based, and the fourier transform is part of almost every single codec ever developed.... so I guess it's loosely related :)

seeing as how figuring out movment and stuff like that is based in physicis and calcul is too
so I;d say go for it

Asking your supervisor/teacher if video compression qualifies as physics might not the worst idea either...

Well my teacher had us all give him 5 topics that we are thinking about and if any seemed not related closely enough to physics, he would talk to us about our choices, and he hasn't said anything yet. Altho, I seriously doubt how much he knows about video compression, or ever what it is.
