Hi. I'm trying to burn a 6,4 DVD to a double Layer Disc with my NEC 3500AG drive. Using DVD-Decrypter which crashes to an IO:Error instantly. The burner is the USB-version with FW 2.06. Also tried to burn with Nero 6 but the Prog. said that the compilation was too big to fit on the 8,5 Disc(LOL). Could a FW upgrade be essential here?
Thx.
Oh, got Win XP pro 1gb RAM/P4 2,8/S-ATA 80GB and so on..

There appears to be a new firmware out there v2.18. Try it after flashing.

I'd use DVD Decrypter as you can set the LB and more importantly, keep it. Probably best to use ISO R/W mode for a straight 1:1 burn.

Yup. Flashed with 2.17 and also received compatibility for the crappy Traxdata dual layer discs, the only ones buyable at my location at the moment, lol.
Burned 6,4gb to that disc with great success. " i like it". :D
