Hello guys and girls,
Here is the story :
I need to capture my DV footage, edit it, and encode it to a streamable media, namely a .wmv
I am using adobe premiere pro. I am capturing the DV footage with the default settings for DV in premiere.
I already have many little clips, like introduction .avi clips that are already 320*240 ( the size of the final .wmv output )that need to be included in the edit.
I need to know what the best method is here. When my project settings are at 720*480, my smaller clips get squashed even smaller at encoding time. They are being resized even if they where already 320*240.
After the encoding the 720*480 footage has "wide screen bars" on top and bothom. I guess this is normal since 720*480 is not 4:3 ( even if premiere says it is.I dont quite understand the 0.9 - 1:1 aspect ration thing yet )
Anyway im losing myself here ! To resume, i want to ask anyone here with knowledge on streaming media about the best method.
Should I work on a 320*240 project from start ?
Deinterlace ? If yes where ???
Filters ?
The encoding choices are ridiculous also to many variables and im lost. I need to get not more than 700kb for 10 minutes of .wmv footage. This is very important because of HD space restrictions.
Please help,
Thanks,
-L
