I ripped my favourite film from DVD to XVID. It comes on 2 DVDs, so I got two AVI files at first. I used XVID 2pass mpeg4 with 224 kbit mp3 stereo. Video bitrate 1422 kbit with both files.
They both look and sound fine. But when I use VirtualDub to join the segments to a whole single AVI, the audio becomes asynchronous after 20-30 minutes. I did direct stream copy for video and aufio, so in my thoughts it should just become a single big file with no other modifications.
How did the audio become asynchronous and how can I join the two parts without becoming it? Bitrates for audio and video are the same for both segments.
Thanks,
Christian.
