ripping streaming videos

I was hoping that someone could tell me what programs I need to pull videos that you are allowed to play but nt sve under normal conditions. I used to have a program that allowed me to do this, but since I had to format I for the life of me can't find anyhting that let's me do this. please feel free to respond here or e-mail me at E-mail address deleted, any help at all would be more than greatly appreciated.
