Do I need a registered dts parser to trancode dts stream, muxed in avi, to ac3 with BeSweet?
Is it even possible to have dts in avi?

no ... you can transcode dts without registering... besweet can do that already...

and yes, dts in avi _is_ possible, though i fail to see the point of the whole operation...

I'm just trying to help a friend. He wants to do this trancode 'cause his dvd/divx player does not support dts in avi.
