I wish I had a diecent DVD burner software.

I dont know if it is my computer or the Nero 6.o OEM software.
When I try to copy a DVD (unencrypted) the program Hangs my computer up.
However it will burn a ShrinkDVD file from my HD to a DVD.
When i try of launch Nero the main menu comes up, I can select DVD, copy disk, after that Noero main menu will disapear, Minimize to the Icon tray and never apear again.

Since this was the software that was included with the DVD burner I purchased, I thought that Maybe i only got the limited version. I have loged on to Nero website and upgraded the software version to the latest and graetes, but still cannot use the software for copying disks.

At this time I have just about run out of rope and want to pitch the program. Anyone have another good DVD/CD burner program that works?

If you want an all-in-one try CloneDVD 2, it makes the same things as dvd-shrink (select titles, tracks, subtitles, menus, recode movie if needed..) thought the quality is not as important as speed (I'm not saying it's horrible, just too quick). It will work great for unprotected dvd, for the others you can use either AnyDVD or DVD Decrypter.

Note: If the source dvd is single layer (less than 4.5GB), you can use DVD Decrypter to read/write the dvd.

By the way, which burner do you have? Firmware revision? Nero version?

Thanks for the nfo. I purchased Cyberhome 16X DVD riter at Best Buy. Burner works great, the problem I am having is the Nero OEM, V6.0 software. I downloaded the new upgrade from Nero.com, but it still causes my system to hang.

I am using DVD dycrypt and DVD shrink without a problem. It is the copy and burning to the DVD that is the problems.
