IFO mode questions

I know reading the faq you need to rip in IFO mode but is there a way to use movies that were ripped in FILE mode.

When i got my new hard drive I ripped a few movies in file mode and I will rip them again in IFO mode but if i don't have to:)

The reason i ask is i use dvd2svcd to back up to dvd and it needs to be ripped in File mode

i recommend copying them again with dvd decryptor in IFO mode. it's better for Autogk.

i've used autogk to copy movies i've ripped in file mode by mistake, and they usually come out fine, but some of them, audio was out of sync. so to be sure, i would re-copy them.

just use the first 1 giger VOB file in the chain to import as a file, usually named VTS_01_1.VOB.

You can try using file mode of latest AutoGK if you don't need subs.
