Been away from dvd authoring for over a year and I wondering if backing up tv show box sets is any easier. I'm looking for perfect quality backup method. Either ripping them singley and hoping there is something out there since spruce up that is easy to use or just using split into 2 DVD programs. Though I found those split in 2dvds back in day were very annoying, sometimes only spuraticly working. Lets say dvd has menu of 4 eps and maybe extras. Most of time it was random which ep was on which dvd, constantly changing between the two, even same episode. I would want a split in 2 dvd program to be smart enough to just put first two episodes on first dvd and 3 and 4 on last one. If so can anyone recommend best one that likely work at my collection of over 83 box sets? If not I guess I just wait for blue ray and see how putting multiple dvds on one them works.
thanks much

We'll show you how to do it in the IFO/VOB Editors forum! Come check us out. Your question is a common one and has been answered many times. ;) The tool to use is VobBlanker.

Read and heed this rule of thumb: CRAP IN > CRAP OUT. So if your source is not in best shape, don't expect to get better by transcoding or encoding. For example, my Friends season 3 got a lot of episodes on one disc and you can obviously see the artifacts. If they had spread out to 5 disc, they would've been "perfect" quality.
