VOB editing.
I have my family events on a few DVDs but now need to make a special occasion DVD of 1 person from these.
I want to split each VOB a few times, extracting the sequences with the person in them (multiple start & end points) then join up these VOBs into larger ones and burn them out as one DVD. Is there any software (hopefully with a good preview window) which will allow me do this.
(I use DVD Shrink to copy DVD (brilliant! genius!) this will split the VOB a few time but won’t join them. Would like bigger preview window.)

I would use TMPGenc DVD Author. It's not free, but you can try it for 30 days. It's an authoring tool, it can import VOB files (no re-encoding), and it will do exactly what you describe (it also lets you add menus etc).
