hello all,

it often seems that subtitles created by my hardware player is substantially shorter than when using BS Player or other software. In the example below, from a .srt file, the word "Butcher..." is on screen for about 1/25th of a second when using my Siemssen, but on screen for a good 2 seconds when using BS player.

anybody else notice this with their players? If you wanted, you could test on your machine by copy and pasting the bit I have below and playing it with any video file as a test.

thanks,

mark.

hello again,

does nobody out there have the same problem, of subtitles in a fast conversation being substantially shorter on a hardware player than on software? It seems that the hardware "forces" the text to be off screen for a certain time before the next comes up... so it will clip the tail of the outgoing text and sometimes it is unreadably fast.

i was wondering if MUXING the sub text with the video would help with this problem. Anyone have any input about this?

ta,

Mark.
