if it smells like a duck, looks like a duck and quacks like a duck i think you know what it is. :)

this is just hype and marketing. the fact they say it works with dvd playback should tell you there is no amazing new compression, its mpeg2 pure and simple. the only things they may have changed is rate control, motion estimation etc.
