Hi guys,

I assume that a lot of DP-558 users reencode their VOB recordings to DivX/XviD/Nero Digital or something like that.
(At least I do :) )

In this area I now have a problem , look at the picture here :

As you see the image (which is btw keyframe) is highly interlaced (btw: you can see my "need cropping" problems from top and buttom there too and ugly shadow at right - entire black part at right , but this is not the issue) .

So this means that video has to be deinterlaced first , so any suggestion on what deinterlace filter can do better job ?
Or just stick to VDub's "Blend fields together ?"

I mean clearly in cases like that it will blur to much ... :( Is there something better ?

OK , I was suggested to use Smart Deinterlace and QS Deintelace . Any additions ? Opinions ?

Also I usualy create .AVS file with GKnote and then reencode in VDub(Mod) .
I am resize on the way , I know that deinterlacing should be performed BEFORE resize .
So does anyone know if I will add deionterlace filter to Dub will it deinterlace before or after resize ?

If after , then I probably need to edit AVS script , right ? , Can I use Dub's filters there and how ?
Or may be I better crop and resize in GSpot ?

Virtualdub processes the filters in the same order as they are in the filter list. So if you put the deinterlacer before the resizing everything should be ok.
Or do you use avisynth for resizing ? Then it is not possible to use VirtualDub for deinterlacing as avisynth filters are processed before Vdubs filters.

Yep AVS resize first , Already tested it - looks shit :(

Any idea how I can use QS from AVS file ?
