Hello all,

I have a problem playing rebuilded Star Wars (any episode) on Power DVD (Version 5). I think this problem has not yet been discussed (correct me if so).

Set Up: Star Wars Region 2 (Germany) with RB 0.70, CCE 2.67 and PowerDVD 5.

I try to do the following: During the multiangle scene at the beginning (scrolling text) I switch from German Text to english text, forth and back. It's no problem switching from German to English, but as soon as I try switching from English to German, the movie hangs (sound too).
All I can do then is skip to the next chapter, which is not Multiangle any more.
I tried to do the same with the Original VOB Files (works fine).

Any Ideas on that? Has this problem perhaps already been fixed with release of 0.72 (I'm not a VIP) ?

Cheers,

Rocko

Hi Rocko

This problem has been known since RB 0.65.
It only affect software players, you can burn it to DVD-R and won't have any problem with your standalone

I don't know if jdobbs is interested in fixing it

I'd certainly like to know what is causing it...

Oh, I didn't know that this was known.

I always thought that software Players were more relaxed when it comes to playback problems.
I really wonder that it only happens in one direction, but not in the other. I can switch from english to german (angle 1 to 2), but I can do it the other way round. This seems like a missing "link" to me.

Very strange....

Perhaps it's the problem I reported here:

jdobbs, I dunno if you ever saw my post or not. At any rate, I don't think you ever mentioned it.

This could indeed be related, rayvt!!

Jdobbs, did you look at rayvt's thread?
