Is it necessary to create a layer break on a DVD-movie with e.g. 6 GB befor burning it on a DL-Media?

How can I create this break, or does the burning programms (DVDDecrypter, Nero, Instant CD/DVD) set the layer break point on their own?

Nero will set the layer break at the appropriate point. I know of no way to manually set the layer break. I'm not saying you can't, I'm just saying I don't know of any way to do it.

DVD Decrypter v3.5.2.0 allows you to do this and also calculates the optimum point.

The easiest way to make a full 1:1 DL copy is to rip is ISO mode then put in your DL media, press W and it's done.

Steer clear of Nero.
