I think I figured out why QuEnc isn't working... or how to get it to work. So I did a trial and error testing on 3 machines (2 of the same AMD 64 3700+ and 1 P4 3.4) to try and see why some ver. of quenc work and others don't.

I tested ver .54, .57, .59a, .59b, and .59b2, I have had at one time or another all the ver. I was testing work for me and the only one that worked for the test was ver .54. Why, what was diff about .54, I had gone in to the reg. and removed quenc's entry for each ver. tested so that that would not be a problem. Then as I was about to run the test again I remember .54 is diff.... NO MUX(or NO Audio). When I had got the other ver to work for me I had always turned that options off. with DVD-RB. So, running the test again on all 3 machines and set QuEnc to No Mux or No Audio guess what the answer was... yep all ver worked.

Hey take this for what it is, a guy snowed in over the weekend with abit of free time to play around. I hope this help any one having problems with QuEnc.

Good info. I'll put that into to good use in the next version.

Thanks!

Fantastic...
I'll update my installer to make it set the value correct.

Thanks

Thanks Be careful when forcing parameters. Sometimes people use QuEnc for other purposes as well -- and we don't want to break another app trying to fix this one (I'm thinking back to the problems DVD-RB had with AVISYNTH because another app had changed the plug-in directory location to suit itself). I'll put the command line parameter in the next version.

Ok... then I'll leave it alone :)

That's one of the reasons that made me work with the Installer... that way the "true" plugins folder will alway be the one in use by DVD-RB :)

keep it UP
