Bitsetting Tool LG GSA 4120 B

I am using the DVD-burner from LG, GSA 4120 B with the latest original Firmware A 111. I am using the Pinnacle Instant CD/DVD-burning programm.

In order to make DVD+R DL Media compatible to standalone DVD-Players, I would like to change the Book Type from "DVD+R DL" to "DVD-Rom".

Unfortinuately this changing can only be done with the Nero-Burning-Rom-Software from Ahead and not with Pinnacle.

Is there any firmware that makes me my able to change the book type prior to burning with e.g. DVDInfo, without having to use the Nero-Burning-Software?

DVD Decrypter supports it ;)

Go into ISO Write mode and click on the little book icon.

Anyone know of a tool that can set the booktype for an LG GSA 4081B running A104 firmware? (AFAIK, LG still hasn't supported this feature on this drive).

Thanks for that, but that is the f/w I have - all it does is change it to RPC1.

Just use the DVDDecrypter for burning (ISO-mode write). It will let you change the booktype (right mouse click on the drive or click on the littel book-icon). It works! I have successfully tested it with my LG 4120!

Yes, I understand that the 4120 model supports booktype setting, but I was wondering if my 4081B does. I haven't seen a f/w - official or otherwise - that allows it on this model.

I may have to give up.
