Gidday all, Long time reader first time poster...

Quick question

I like to view my movies in pan and scan to view movie in 16:9 not 2.35.1 (i know defeats the purpose of dvd)
any way subtitles didnt work in p&s (star wars trilogy) I figured it out ,used PGCEDIT to change to value "stream nr.(pan&scan): 0" to the right number to display subs when Im in P&S AR. Got that Idea from this forum. Fantastic until....

this is info from "the mummy" dvd ,see my delema with pgcedit the value only goes up to 15 - subs dont work in any AR with 15

question how do I find the status number to add 16 in the pan And scan value ? or change the sub 16 to 15 (or another number) so I can use that number.??

these are forced subs and I have no other subs at all

[0000001c] Sub-picture stream 1 status -1877995520 [90101000]
Sub-picture stream 1 uses stream nr.(4:3): 16
Sub-picture stream 1 uses stream nr.(wide): 16
Sub-picture stream 1 uses stream nr.(letterbox): 16
**Sub-picture stream 1 uses stream nr.(pan&scan): 0**

What verison of PgcEdit do you have? I can assign any stream number up to 31 in the PgcEditor window for each 4:3, wide, L'box and PS.

In any event, if you wanted, 16 all the way through, the value at byte 0x1c in VTS_PGCITU / PGC1 in IfoEdit is -1877995504 = 0x9010 1010
