hi this is the first time i am trying to do this and i dont know how or if its possible..i have an mazinkaiser dvd that i purchased..it has like 9 movies on 1 dvd..now they are japanese with english subtitles that are selectable..what i want to know is ...is it possible for me to put the subtitles permenant onto the vob files so that its part of it also..so if i was to rip the vob and transfer it to a svcd the subtitles will already be "burned" into the vob alreay...i hope i explained this correctly..if i didnt i am sorry..if anyone have any advise i would be happy to hear it..thank you

if there are subtitles on the dvd they are in the vob file
but i gues you wanna have them "burnt in" = as part of the video itself
you'd have to reencode the whole video for that
i wonder why you wanna do that
when you convert the DVD to SVCD you can burn in the subs at that encode
no need to do it before and waste time and quality on another encode

actually with these i want to just reauthor the dvd with the subtitles on the vob perm. ..the reason i want them on it so i can say take 1 or 2 of the movies and make a dvd outta that with my personal favorites of the movies..the svcd thing would be after but most importantly i just wanted to reauthor with the subtitles perm. so i can add my own menus and whatnots...thanks for the reply

ok, so you wanna make yourself a "best of"-dvd
but for that you can just use the video, audio and subs as they are
no need to loose quality by reencoding

yea i can that what i want to do...is there a turtorial or somthing that can show me how to take the video and subtitles from 1 dvd and from the movie on another and author them togeather and make a full dvd..i can rip the movie i want with the subtitles using smartripper but i dont know how to author a dvd with my own menues and things like that from the files i rip..thats why i wanted to know if there was a way to make the subtitles permenant on the vob file so i can just author with those ..that would be easy..i cant figure out how to link the subtitles to the vob when i reauthor from stratch:confused:
