Help!
This is driving me nuts but I know you smart guys will have the answer. I have Nero express OEM V6.3.1.20. Here is what happens when I try to use it.
I have installed Nero following the install software. After Nero is installed I will open with the desktop icon, the main menu will appear and i can select what I wish to do. When I select copy disk, the hour glass will appear then the main menu will disapear from the screen, the hard drive light will flicker, and the next menu will not appear. The Nero icon will move to the Icon tray (lower right screen). If I click on the icon the submenu will appear and if I try to load again the program will still not appear on the screen.
Now here is the bad part.
If I try to close the Nero program I will get "program not responding please wait", If I try to shut down windows it will not. When I do a ctrl/alt/del, my task manager will appear and I can see nero express listed as a program running, and if I have clicked on Nero more than once, Nero express will be listed 2 or 3 times as being opened.
If I select nero express and try to end program from task manager, it will again give me the program not responding and wil not shut down the program. The only way I can shut down Windows is to kill power to the cpu and reboot.
Now I have used Nero a couple of times. Some times it works and other times I get the above headace.
Last night I was ble to burn DVD's from my HD to the DVD without a hitch, but now I want to copy a DVD and the problems arrise.
I am using windows xp (home), SP-2, I have closed all other programs before trying to run Nero.
I have tried to contact Nero tech support but have not gotten a response after 3 tries.
It almost looks like the program switches to a different video mode that will not display on my screen. I find this weird since the main menu will appear.
Any suggestions???
