I cant understand why i dont see this discussed here more - i found only a couple references to this... but...

My dvd's copy and burn fine, until i put a label on them (memorex or equivalent white matte paper label). Then, i put them in my dvd player(s) and they no longer play. Started with my brother telling me he had this problem, and originally i dismissed him, as we usually do with our brothers, but im noticing this is more of a problem for me now - maybe because i am using a different brand of dvds or , I dont know...

I'd like to get some feedback on this from others and what they are doing about it ! Im thinking to buy the epson printer with the dvd caddy and use the printable dvds as an option, as I do like to have the labels...for .. appearances , you know !

Hi & welcome to the board,

this topic has been covered in quite some detail on this board. A search for e.g. "dvd labels" will produce several relevant threads.

If you want to label a dvd, try printable blanks and a suitable printer ... for a remedy for already-labelled discs, try peeling off the label carefully & see if that improves playability.
