00014 alpha out. see top post for info.

Just to clarify how the .vif process is done

when material is ntsc/film pulldown is always needed.. the .mpv.m2v is written and the vif is created with the data collected during pulldown

for pal/ntsc@29.97fps - with the create vif option on.. pulldown is run but no .mpv.m2v created. only is the data collected to create the .vif file.

this saves lots of time during script import for scenarist.

the vif file doesnt contain fps info.. just pointers to where the pictures/gops start within the video and other stuff. vifs are the same for 2.6->3.0 ( i assume also 3.1 )

Sorry for posting this but I'm clueless as the the CCEFront.ini file that we're supposed to have? Anyone have an example of it? I tried using that with BatchEncodeM2V but it gives an error saying it can't open up the ecl.

I installed BathEncode and can't even run it. I just get the application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135) error upon launch. I browsed the program folder and configured cceroba, with no change in results.

Also uninstalled and reinstalled. XP Pro - patched & virus/spyware free, running on very decent hardware and specs. I do have a host of DVD type utilities installed.. Is your tool based on any outside libraries I need to install?

Thanks

you need the .net framework and dll's i believe

check the batchifoupdate thread.. there's a link to the dll's needed for that and i believe they are the same

Thanks - just went to M$ site and got dot net framework from the download center. Works like a champ, now..

Question for Trahald - Have you had a chance to work on the "vob must be even number of frames" error in Scenarist? I wanna make sure I've got the latest version before running the re-encode again.

Thanks

That's been in there for a long time... and infact, it's in the new BatchCCEWS too

Thanks Ds37 - I will run my project through again, and this time, maybe it will compile..

Does BatchEncodeM2V require a specific version of CCE? I'm using CCE SP 2.5, and all it wants to do is launch, but no encoding is happening.

All version of CCE are supported by BatchEncode

im not sure how to encode PAL Interlaced with batchencode, there is no "altenate scan" on Batchcce i enable "top field first" and "alternate scan" and everything work nice, what settings for batchencode?

Zeul

There is a box marked progressive and one for zig-zag. Just leave these unselected and then interlaced encoding will be assumed

i'll take a look at it.. been very busy.

I don't know what to suggest, as I'm still having the same issue.

I have installed the latest EclCCE file and pointed BEM to it, still same issue.

I have pointed EclCCE to different CCE version, same problem.

I had wondered if it was maybe a version thing with EclCCE, I've tried whatever version is included with NuMenu4U, and the latest that can be downloaded from the EclCCE website.

Maybe someone else will have better results with these troubleshooting steps than I have? I don't know, but figured I'd post them as a starting point.

batchencode won't run anymore. I click on the icon and nothing happens. I checked the task manager to see if it was somehow running but I can't see it.

I uninstalled and reinstalled it to no avail. I rebooted the PC and run it again and still nothing.

thanks for the help. :)

apps just don't stop working..

what did you install (hardware or software) or uninstall since it last worked and now?

my guess would be the .net extensions

thanks, now I get CCE to fire up and start the encode - but suddenly I'm getting this error when trying to encode. I've never had any trouble with CCE before..

Should I try a different version of CCE? I am only using 2.50 as it is rumored to be faster on an Athlon system. Is this an urban legend?

Thanks for your help - I was so excited when CCE actually started encoding!

make sure that you delete any .vif files, then retry

Deleted the .vaf, and didn't get that error anymore. However, about a third of the way through the encode, CCE gives an error and says encoding failed. If I click OK, it jumps almost to 80% and continues - and then a little later, you get another encoding failed message, and the progress meter jumps further.

I finally just gave up and installed 2.67 - everything seems to work great with this version. Not sure if I've got some whacked registry pieces or what. Seems like I just reloaded this damned machine.

Thanks for the help - glad to be using BEM2V finally!

sorry to jump to an old topic about batchencodem2v but... is it normal that it keeps on saying me

Could not find ccefront.ini

even if ccefront is correctly set and being run for encoding?

pls note: ccefront is in c:\progs\dvdrip\ccefront (even the ini is there) while batchencodem2v is in c:\progs\dvdrip\batchencodem2v

any clue?
thanks

ccefront is now supported in batchccews. please use that instead... it ties into ccefront a different(better) way. i may change batchencode to do it the same way but intend to work mostly on batchccews, so likely not.
