View Full Version : Disable MMSwitch from OGM decoding

I just bought a new pc and configured with a minimal codec/filters set-up (no packs!).

Now, even if I know it's silly (and of course I have the latest TCMP installed), I'd like to play multiple audio track MKVs with WMP. So I need Morgan switcher 0.99.

But I don't need Morgan switcher for playing OGMs in WMP. To boot the switcher fuxors the green tray icon (double A/V/sub track info, both from Morgan _and_ the oggsplitter).

So I tried to lower the MMSwitch.ax filter merit (it's PREFERRED+1 by default, while OggDS is NORMAL) with Redlight Manager. This does prevent Morgan switcher from being used with OGMs, but it also prevents it from being used with MKVs (don't know why).

I also tried to raise OggDS.dll filter merit, while mantaining the original Morgan one, but it's useless. Same exact result as above. Once Morgan has not the highest filter merit, it does not work with MKVs as well.

For now I just unregistered/re-registered both OggDS.dll (0.9.9.5) and MMSwitch.ax (0.99 official version, not Matroska one) and I've returned to the default set-up.

Is there any way to make MMSwitch.ax 0.99 work in WMP with MKVs only and not with OGMs?

I know it was that way with Morgan 0.97, which though I'm reluctant to use it's considered buggy (even if I didn't have any problem with it in 2 years).

Btw, does MMSwitch.dll have a particular function?

Thanks.
