How to join movie from a 2-sided DVD

Hello everybody,

I have the movie "Face Off" on a 2-sided DVD. There are no extras and the menu is the same on both sides of the DVD. I would like to know how to join the 2 segments of the movie and also keep the menu and then burn it on a DVD-R. Is there any tool that makes that task easy? Thank you in advance! :D

these 2-sided DVD's are typically known as 'flipper' discs.

running a search on 'fliiper' yields these results (http://forum.doom9.org/search.php?s=&action=showresults&searchid=1168589&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending) , which have varying degrees of relevance.

i believe your easiest path may be to try re-authoring with dvd-shrink, then post-processing to add in the original menu, or using pgcedit to modify the menu after joining the .vob files with vobedit.
