i have downloaded the pr version of dvd-rb 0.70 since with 0.69 i had a strange problem with processing a dvd.

All is ok but just problems with the subtitles.

There is a box subtitles to keep (and the movie has about 8-10) meaning you have to scroll down to select or deselect the subtitle that you want to keep/dont want to keep.

Now i only want to keep the dutch subtitles so these are only checked.

when i transcode the whole dvd , all is OK. No errors whatsoever but when i look in shrink or a dvd playing program, there is NO dutch subtitles at all.

In fact DVD-RB just took a subtitle (or 2) above the Dutch one !!! I bet this is due i had to scrolldown that subtitle box that something went wrong. Or perhaps in the ifo files.

I already had in options to deselect all subtitles except dutch/english by default so it would be easier.

It seems that DVD-RB does not take the selected subtitle if there is a scrollbox or if they are too many? Then i will take (randomly) a subtitle?

Perhaps there is a way to manually add the selected subtitle to the finished video_ts folder?

thanks again!

Make sure you look carefully at the headings -- the way it works is (admittedly) a little counterintutive.

On the SETUP screeen you select titles that will be removed and they are checked.

But on the main screen (when you see it listed) the checkbox is set next to the titles that will be included.

I wish I'd just used more logic when I'd created the SETUP screen -- but now that people are used to it, I really don't want to change it and cause even more confusion.

dear jdobbs,

yes exactly. i did it like that too. In the setup again i selected ALL except the dutch and english subs. So all that were marked with a 'v' are NOT included in the setup screen.

And on the main screen i put a 'v' next to the subs that i want to keep (dutch and english)

but still there are not there. I think perhaps that it is due to the scrollbox of the subs on the mainscreen. When there are too many (like +6) the program might take the wrong one , even when you have selected the right sub.

I can take a look at it, but I'm not sure why a long list would matter.

I do have this sometimes tho, not with all the DVDs.

But it looks like only the ones with a long box of different subtitles causes this problem.

Well i don't know if anybody else have this problem, but i do.

Perhaps i can select ALL the subs , then i'm sure the one i want will be included (as a temp workaround).

I have tried 2x times now with the same movie (king arthur directors cut) and with only selected (in the main menu) the dutch subs and deselect all the rest in the setup screen gives me no dutch subs but instead it takes a subtitles which wasn't selected in the main screen.

Subtitles take up so little space that I personally never remove any. In the first several versions of DVD-RB I didn't even have subtitle removal as an option.
