dvd burner suggestions?

what is your favorite (functional) dvd burn program? I am looking for a progam that will convert from other formats(avi specifically) to dvd. also one that will add srt files to the final stage or convert avi and srt into one package. If this is not possible how do i get srt to be added to the dvd, maybe convert to another format ?

P.S. i have tried a few they all have one form of glitch that wrenches up the process.

it surely would help if you told us what programs you already tried and maybe also what problems you encountered...

well for starters i have used windvd creator,nero,recordnow, and a few of the free burners i can not remeber. The problems i have encountered are with programs not accepting all file formats or any of them wanting to add the srt files into the movies. at present i am still using win dvd creator because it has burned a few for me fine while others it will make the disk and the disk will play for about 10-20 minutes then freeze this one will also not add the srt files. Some files it will do but sqaush them down from full screen to smaller than widescreen to where they arte a bit distorted. I just want a program that will accept BUP,IFO,VOB,ISO,SRT, etc etc..
