I just wonder if a fixed bitrate can be set for GK to encode divx clips.
I tried to merge two clips encoded separately, but different bitrates make it impossible with re-encode.
Note: the other setting for the two clips are the same.

Can you give some more info on the characteristics of these 2 clips? Like open them in GSpot and post the specs here?
Are these like totally different clips? Or previously split from a single avi? Which tool did you try for merging? If they are like totally different, it could be due to many reasons like different framerate, different audio bitrate etc.
Even if the video bitrate is different (it will always be), VirtualDub/VirtualDubMOD/Nandub should be able to merge the clips.

Video with different bitrates can be safely joined with VDubMod, however audio can be a problem. If you're using VBR MP3 then bitrate will aways be different and you'll be unable to join files in VDubMod. So either:
- use CBR MP3 only
- separate audio and video, join two parts of video in VDubMod, join two parts of audio in some other program, then mux them together again in VDubMod.

Thanks for your replies.
I did not think the problem was with the audios. I will use CBR MP3 from now on to make the merge easier.
