Giving RB Farm V1.7 a try and have installed on both machines , set up a shared directory and everything seems fine , however when running on my other machine it runs through the encode process very very quicky and says its complete and in reality is not encoding and on my main machine it continues to encode at normal pace.
I ask , does DVD Rebuilder and CCE also have to be in this same directory as well as the d2avs folder , ie everything must be on same drive ( the apps also ) and paths pointing to this same drive ? is this my problem.
I am under beleive its only the d2avs folder that has to be on the shared drive.
I confirm shared drive/folder is same on both machines.
on each version of RB Farm on each machine , rebuilder directory points to DVD Rb , which has been installed on either machine.
Rebuilder ecl path , is pointing to the shared folder having same name and drive on both machines and containing the prepared files as mad via dvdrb on main machine.
ECLCCE path pointing to the path on each seperate machine , also been installed on either machine.
Can someone please help , tia

many thanks I will double check your advice and revert back , thanks for the response
sorry edit : , same path as in installed in same locations on separate machines ie. C:\program files\avisynth\ of have I to install avisynth to the folder that must be shared for RB Farm ?
Update Edit . Checked avisynth , both are installed to the exact same paths on each seperate machine , so should it be installed in the shared folder maybe ? TIA

How did you see that? With windows explorer or you checked on the registry?
The problem is that there are some programs that change the default's plugins folder path... you'll have to check it on the registry if they are correct.

ntr,
Source and target path have to be the same on both machines. I use shared drives S: and T: for Source and Target.
DVD-rB and CCE paths don't need to be the same, so you set these paths in RB-Farm
To help you debug your problem, try opening the .avs files from the machine where you have the problem, using VirtualDub or WindowsMedia.
That should give you any info about your problem :)

Many thanks marpada , problem was the source folder was not on the shared drive , i had only the working folder on the shared drive. Its now running as sweet as sugar on all 3 of my machines , so big smile on my face .
Thanks to everyone else for their inputs , it was gratefully appreciated.

ok guys , just one little problem all went well with first encode with the exception my final file size encoded was 3.3 GB instead of 4.3 GB or thereabouts , original was nearly 6 GB , I did 6 pass cce encode , both machines worked fine , rebuilt fine , end movie fine , and plays fine but It has compressed film way too much ?
any ideas ? tia :D
