Hello guys i'm currently having a problem and i'm facing a dead end!My last 5 dvd's failed to burn and i can't seem to find why?I use good quality dvd-r (ridisc 4x all the time)And after a year and a half of using my dvd-r it now seemd to be fooling around!

The first time it did it i formated the hard drive and after that everything was fine for a while, but now it does it all over again, what could possibly be wrong?

I tried varius software like nero 5.9.9.17 and 6.6.0.3 and copy to dvd but each and every one of them failed.

I have alread installed aspi adaptec drivers but it didn't solve anything!

BTW:I've succesfully recorded tha last 2 times in a maxwell dvd-rw but why the ridisc fail?I've burned like a thousand of them, did the dvd-r get sick of them or something?

Is there any benchmark that can diagnose the dvd-rec?

PS:The dvd recorder is toshiba -r 1x was purchased by default with the laptop.

OMG!!! - A 1x DVD Burner, I thought those where from a past era :D - How much time does it take?, ok not kidding, why don't you buy a new one? they're now cheaper than ever.

About the burner problems.. kinda strange, isn't it?. Well have you tried any other software, like DVD Decrypter (Write Mode) or any other?
Maybe laptops burners aren't dessigned to burn that many discs? (100?)
Finally there's a tool that comes with Nero Suite (not the cheap Nero Express) called CD Speed, it can check dvd quality and other values. If you wanna go further, look for more info in cdfreaks forums - here (club.cdfreaks.com)
