View Full Version : Help with 0.71 and CCE 2.50SP

Ok, I guess I'm confused about all the new ECL CCE trial and no trial options of the new 0.71 RB. When I use CCE 2.50SP with 0.71, without changing any settings, Rebuilder gets to the encoding stage, and opens up CCE, but sits there and does nothing. I've got CCE 2.50SP selected under options (as I always have), but it's not working.

I reinstalled 0.70 just to make sure it wasn't something else, and it works just fine. What do I need to do?

Thanks!

did you configure eclcce correctly?

I configured eclcce originally on version .40 or so, and it's been working fine ever since until version 0.71.

It's still a no go here. I just did a test render with reinstalled version 0.70, and all is well, but 0.71 doesn't. :scared:

Ok, the plot thickens! I just installed version 0.71 in a completely different directory, and set it up exactly the same as version 0.70, and did a test render, and it started rendering with CCE 2.50SP just fine!

not for me

Just tried Matrix again with 0.71 (finished yesterday with 0.70) and starts encoding fine. Will report any problems...

When I first reported PREPARE phase was done with 0.70. So I opened same project file and pressed ENCODE. Everything was fine. When I erased TMP directory and did it from scratch, it opens CCE 2.50 but doesn't start encoding.

I did same and works OK with CCE SP 2.5. I gues there is some downwards compatibility issue with .INI or .ECL files between 0.70 & 0.71. When 0.71 makes its own files in brand new directory works fine.

I don't know how significant is the difference, but may help jdobbs to find the reason. :D

I don't know what the deal is, but I went to start an overnight DVD-RB reencode, and now the newly installed 0.71 version I tested earlier (see above message) that worked previously locks up at the encode stage!

Back to 0.70 for me tonight.

I set up a batch encode of 4 dvd's last night using 0.71. The first encoded fine but on the second I also got the cce 2.50 window open but hung in the Prepare stage. Back to 0.70 and all is working fine again. Strange that it encoded the first ok and got stuck on the second.

I have always re-installed RB of each new version comming out by simply copying over the top of the old version. Have done that since ver 0.15.

I'll do a test of this and let you know what I find out.
In the last one line "Encode_Progress=1" missing, but works in its own directory! This just gives the status. "Encode_Progress=1" just tells you how many of the .M2V files have been completed (for a resume). It gets written after the first M2V encode is completed and increments for each section.

Can someone help me?

When you do the batch encode, do you have different working directories for each job or are you using a single one?

You are still using the CCE 250 path and selection, right? You haven't switched to the CCE SP Trial selection??

I've located the error and fixed it. I will be sending out v0.72 later today with a couple of fixes.

SP Trial. Who are you asking, me or someone else? Because I didn't use batch mode, just 3 click.

Can someone help me?

Read the post above yours... it has been fixed. No more discussion is needed. You'll get it later today.
