for months now I have been recording streams directly from dvb (Nexus).
About 50% have good audio and video sync but the rest are unfixable. My regular mode is to patch the mpeg file with dvdpatcher, only the header then author with tmpgenc and then burn with superdvd copy. Like I said about 50% work the other half doesn't. I am getting 100% quality and 90%signal on most channels using dvbdream. If I try using pva to record with then use pvastrumento to remux I get the same results. I f anyone has been having the same results please let me Know and if anyone has found a solution please let me know. Oh ya my system is Nexus-s, 3ghz, 1.24ram,9800pro video 200gig hd.

one other thing I forgot to mention. a lot of recording will have good sync until about halfway or 3/4 of the way through then everything gets messed up. Not sure if this is important but I have never seen this in other posts.

In several posts, I found that the synching error was caused by different audio rates for commercials and the acutal broadcast. One may be 2_0 channel at 192kb and the other a 3_2 at 384kb. When demuxing ProjectX has an option to convert all to 3_2.

Or you may have cut some video but not the audio or something like that to get them out of synch.

I have only recording direct from channels that have no commercials and have even tried to demux but this only makes the sync worse. But thanks for the reply and I will keep searching for an answer.

Try recording in .pva format and then demux with ProjectX at default settings.
If you are located in USA then you might want to read my recent post here in the same forum concerning DVB to DVD.
