Hi,
I have a big prob with the reencoding of a shortly released Making-pf-DVD which contains angles in some VOBs.
The rebuilder works in its usual way till the end.
After completing the video_ts folder is very much undersized.
After this I noticed that some VOBs and there IFO and BUPs are missing. Then I noticed, that this VOBs contain angles :(
When I copy the angles-VOBs with there IFOs and BUPs into the reencoded video_ts folder, ist is very much oversized.
So I thought about making i little trick:
I used the RB-Optimizer and changed all bitrates less the percently oversize capacity, so in case we have 10 % too much material with the incopied not-reencoded angleVOBs, and the first to reencode vob has 2000 kbit, I changed to 1800 kbit and so on with all files.
I thougt this would be the only way to have all of the material and perfect sized to fit a dvd.
It's a pity, but a tried now 8 times to do this job and it fails every time. The DVD gets to big.
What can I do to come to the needed result?
Does rebuilder generally have problems with angles-VOBs?
I gave dvdshrink I try and it handles it the same way, no transcoding with anglesfiles. Too bad.
Is there no way to do this, or does a trick exist to do?

I do not understand you saying Shrink does not work on multiangle. It works perfectly.
Regarding your problem, my method would be to Shrink the RB output.

Check your REBUILDER.INI file and make sure you don't have this line inserted:
ILVU_Extract=1
It was implemented for experimental use and can have some strange affects if left inserted when you are trying to back up an ILVU movie.

Jobbs,
Does the this (ILVU_Extract=1) mean you are thinking about giving RB the ability to remove angles in the future. Most of the time I think angles just waste space.

Actually that setting is for me in testing. I'm working on code to reencode angles. That setting causes the individual angles to be extracted separately -- but it also causes information to not be encoded correctly right now... just a warning to any who want to play with it.
[Corrected] I changed the word "extras" to "angles" in the first sentence... don't know what I was thinking when I typed it.

I try this now with version 0.70 again, perhaps I have more luck now :) ...will give my statement soon.

It worked :)
Rebuilder finished with a complete size of 4.23 GB, I copied manually the missing vts6_1 into it and came to 4,34 GB. I wonder only that rebuilder can't copy the angled file by itself.
