Is it possible to decode *.mp4 files with ffdshow? I mean, it supports decoding for aac audio and mpeg-4 video, so what's the problem? I haven't gotten it to work yet, unless I install the Nero 6 suite. If I do that, ffdshow will decode *.mp4 just perfectly, but is it possible for ffdshow to decode *.mp4 without any addendum?

you need a mp4 splitter, ffdshow doesnt include one.

from nero :p (as bond said, read the FAQ)

coz they dont care, dont have time to code one or perhaps just forgot about it...
its a decoder filter, while i dont exclude that it one day will be possible... you cant expect them to do everything right?
