Hello!

I used DVDRemake to merge two DVDs, but now there are several problems:

1. No single button in menus deeper than the main-menu works in Intervideo WinDVD. In other tested players, they work.

2. When I try to reimport the created disc afterwards into DVDRemake, there are many "Bad block header"-errors. See log file:

(I snipped the error message - it's always the same. Original file consists of 245 lines!)

What the hell is wrong with it?

Merging finished without showing any problems.
I tried merging several times.

These errors occur ALWAYS!

I've tested the merge functionality, which worked without any problems.

I'll try some other DVDs. This might not be a general problem, but a DVD-specific problem. Anyway it's really annoying, that this highly expensive software (in comparision to the money, it should save by merging DVDs) contains so many errors.

Yeah, I wasted so much money and time using this software and I get no support, so this is my advice:

If you want support, go to the DVDRemake forum, instead of just complaining about it on Doom9, + if you need to write about it on this forum, at least you should use the "IFO/VOB Editors" subforum.

Problem solved, I got a working ... erm... "test-version" 2.6.4 ;)

But anyway this program is not worth its money!

So many posts complaining about the price & support for a program, just because it does what it is supposed to: mess up the finished product when using "cracked" versions.

Maybe you should not complain about so-called piracy, or do you have an orignal CCE SP, Scenarist, Maestro, SoftEncode or whatever licence?

Image big bad Microsoft would do such a bullshit, and build a Windows-Version which modifies or deletes your documents: EVERYBODY in the world would complain, but if a small software-designer does so, he is a hero. Great.

I think it's time to close this discussion before it becomes a flame war. There are other reasons:
1) fairly certain Johnny_Deep_Down_Below has obtained a cracked copy. And while we don't require everyone who mentions commercial software to present a proof-of-purchase, we do frown on admission of guilt. It's in the rules, we do not knowingly encourage warez.
2) Have you taken a close look at what XP can do?
