Ok guys i'm just curious what the filesize would be around for a 2hr movie to play on a Dell Axim handheld. I would want it to be top quality of course and would be using the Xvid codec unless anyone else has a better idea. Here are the specs on the screen.
TFT Color 16-bit
Touch Sensitive
Transflective LCD
3.7 inches
480 x 640 resolution at 65,536 colors (VGA)
Thanks

Well I've got a Dell Axim H30, not a vga display like your x50 but still good quality. For a good quality rip it normaly takes 128 mb - 240 mb, dependes on the audio. Because I only got a tiny speaker in my dell axim and a stereo headphone jack I always encode the audio to ogg 40 kps to gain more space for the movie. I personally would recommand the Pocket DivX Encoder (http://divx.ppccool.com/) which can encode to divx and xvid. It's a very easy to use programm if you are new to handheld encoding :)
