I want to enable this option within MPC to get faster seeking of ASF/WMV files during playback but I don't wanna install the bloatware that is the full WMP package just to be able to do it. Does anyone know where I can download just the ASF Reader filter to be able to do this?

Manual installation is not a problem if that's necessary.

I guess you'll have to do that (e.g on a different PC) and then try to extract the filter - if you're lucky the ASF reader will be a standalone DLL/AX ;)
